Nokia 6760 Slide focuses on Facebook, coming soon to Europe

Nokia, the world's top mobile phone maker, plans to launch the 6760 Slide -- a messaging slider focused on social networking -- in Europe. The Finnish company said the 6760 Slide is similar to the Surge -- its North America sibling -- offering a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Designed for typing, users can keep their status and tweets up-to-date on social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter. The handset can also access to popular email and instant messaging services including Google Talk and Windows Live. Push email is available through Nokia Messaging.

Additional features include a 2.4-inch QVGA display, 3.2-megapixel camera and support for up to 8GB of storage with microSD cards (2GB card included).

The Nokia 6760 slide will be available in Europe during the third quarter for $285.
