How to Trace a Cell Number - To Catch a Cheating Lover

It could be the number of the 'friend' who your spouse/partner is always talking to or it could be the number of the mystery person who sends you romantic messages at night. What's it going to be? Do you abandon the search for truth and settle for a good fantasy? Or do you find out once and for all who that mobile number belongs to?

Or it could be any other reason?

It could simply be to check an unknown number on your caller ID, to check who your teenage kid has been talking to or any other reason. Whatever the reason that you want a wireless number traced, the good news is that you can get it done in a matter of minutes online. All you have to do is enter the 10 digits of the number and you can find detailed info on the user.

How can you trace a wireless number on the internet?

The internet is home to quite a large number of websites that make it their business to lookup cellular numbers. Basically they're privately-owned databases which can provide you with:

  • The full name of the user
  • His/her past and present addresses
  • Info about family, income, neighbors, associates, marital status etc.

But they're not listed on the White Pages

It's true that cellular numbers are 'unlisted' and there are certain privacy laws to protect mobile phone user information. However, in case of emergencies it's not impossible to have a number traced and in such cases, online reverse cell phone directories are your best option.

  • You get the details immediately - it takes just 2-3 minutes
  • 100% confidentiality is guaranteed
  • You can trace as many numbers as you like
  • You get a ton of information on the phone owner - Full Name, Age, Address, Marital Status, Relatives, Associates and demographic data (average income etc.)

However, NOT all reverse cell phone directories are equally Accurate and Reliable
Some databases are just too small while some are outdated and therefore inaccurate. You must avoid such databases at any cost.

Cell Phone Radiation Triggers Measurable Brain Cell Changes in Mere Minutes

(NaturalNews) As little as 10 minutes on a cell phone can trigger changes in brain cells linked to cell division and cancer, suggests a new study conducted by researchers from the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel and published in the Biochemical Journal.

Previously, advocates of cell-phone safety have maintained that the phones cannot cause brain damage because the microwave radiation that they emit is at a level too low to heat the body's cells. But in the new study, changes in biological processes began at an energy level even lower than that used by a typical phone, even without heating occurring.

"Safety guidelines assume [that] health effects from mobiles can only occur when significant heating of body tissue occurs. [But] this study shows biological changes in response to low-level mobile phone radiation -- something that could potentially have implications for health," said Graham Philips of the British nonprofit Powerwatch.

Researchers exposed both human and rat cells to low-level radiation at a frequency of 875 megahertz, a similar frequency to that used by most cellular phones. The intensity of the radiation was far lower than that used by most phones, however.

Even so, within 10 minutes the scientists observed changes within the cells. A chemical switch regulating cell division was switched on -- a switch that has been linked to a variety of cancers.

There was no direct evidence of cancer inducement in the current study. However, the researchers point out that the changes occurring at the low radiation level were non-thermal in nature, something previously said to be impossible. Thus, the study challenges the entire basis on which cell phones' presumption of safety has been based.

"The significance lies in showing cells do react to cell-phone radiation in a non-thermal way," said co-author Rony Seger. "We used radiation power levels that were around one tenth of those produced by a normal mobile. The changes we observed were clearly not caused by heating."

"This helps explain why mobile phone radiation has been linked to increases in cancer tumors," said consumer health advocate Mike Adams. "Until now, skeptics have said the radiation wasn't intense enough to cause cells to overheat, but now we're learning there can be significant cellular changes taking place at far lower levels of exposure."

New iPhone is coming!!!!

This beautiful concept, inspired by the curves and tapering of the Macbook Air coupled with the touch's back, is even better than the cool Macbook-inspired iPhone 4G we featured at the beginning of the month.

The thing that excites me most about these concepts, however, is not the aesthetic aspect of it. It's the the front camera and the fact that people seem to be excited about getting videoconferencing on the iPhone. Specially about the idea of interacting with desktop videoconferencing software on both the PC and the Mac. This is a must for the videochat feature to be really useful, and personally I think it's one of the reasons it hasn't been done by Apple before.

My hope is that they are working to make it crossplatform, either with Apple releasing iChat for the PC at one point or, ideally, working on the connection with existing PC videoconferencing software like MSN and Skype.

Sony Ericsson plans high-end phones

Sony Ericsson plans to roll out three high-end devices -- including the Satio, a 12.1-megapixel camera phone -- in the fourth quarter to lift its sagging sales and expand its market share. The joint venture between Japan's Sony and Sweden's Ericsson said its new Satio smartphone offers a 12.1-megapixel camera and is built around the Symbian operating system that allows users to install a wide range of applications.

The Aino offers high-end audio and video with the ability to integrate the device with Sony's PlayStation 3 console.

The Yari is tailored for games, featuring gesture and motion controls to for an enhanced interaction.

The struggling phone maker's market share has fallen to 5.4 percent from 7.5 percent a year earlier due to its lack of high-end handsets.

In the same period, Nokia maintained its market-leading position, helped in part by its 5800 touch screen smartphone. The Finland-based company will further reinforce its portfolio when it releases its new flagship smartphone, the N97, later this month.

Meanwhile South Korea's Samsung Electronics gained ground in the first quarter thanks to demand for touch screens such as its Omnia smartphone, while iPhone maker Apple doubled its market share.

Rather than basing a handset around a single feature such as the Walkman audio or the Cybershot camera brand, the Sony Ericsson plans to load the handsets with multiple features.

The Satio will retail at about $800, while the Aino will sell for $670 and the Yari for $470.

Sony Ericsson Posts Heay Q2 Loss

Struggling handset maker Sony Ericsson reported a $398 million second-quarter loss and reiterated plans to focus to higher-end smartphones instead of its Walkman and Cyber-Shot sub-brands. "We still believe the remainder of the year will be difficult for Sony Ericsson," said a Sony Ericsson spokesman. "Our performance is starting to improve due to our cost reduction activities."

During the quarter the company said it shipped 13.8 million devices -- a 43 percent drop from 2008.

Last quarter Sony Ericsson, a joint venture between Japan's Sony and Sweden's Ericsson, posted a $387 million loss as mobile phone industry expected its worst decline on record as the global recession hit demand.

Compared to a year ago, the company reported just a $3.1 million loss.

Sony Ericsson's loss has been partly due to a heavily focus on its Walkman and Cyber-Shot sub-brands -- music and camera phones -- when consumers increasingly demand handsets with strong overall performance.

Rivals have forged ahead to launch on new smartphones such as Apple's iPhone 3GS and Palm's Pre.

Still, the company hopes to win back customers by releasing a range of new high-end devices, such as integration with Sony's PlayStation games console. But these new handsets wouldn't reach the market until the fourth quarter.

The report comes the same day rival Nokia said its earnings fell 66 percent.

Vertu launching Carbon Fiber phone in August

Luxury mobile phone brand Vertu plans to release the Ascent Ti Carbon Fiber -- a handset crafted of the high-performance material renowned in motorsport and aerospace industries for its strength-to-weight ratio -- in August. Vertu, owned by Finnish handset giant Nokia, said the new handset is tested to ensure the fibers and resin are processed to achieve a uniform look on both the flat and curved surfaces.

A diagonal rib design is achieved by using a twill carbon fiber weave process.

The handset also has a sapphire crystal screen and a chassis made of high-grade titanium -- a non-corrosive element.

The company's Carbon Fiber Collection will also include the Carbon Fiber Grip, Carbon Fiber & Aluminum Grip and Carbon Fiber & Copper Grip devices.

The Vertu Ascent Ti Carbon Fiber will be available in August.

New Motorola W7 with body control

Troubled U.S. phone maker Motorola today announced the W7 Active Edition, a motion-enabled slider that senses the body's motions to perform tasks such as launching its built-in pedometer, silencing incoming calls or controling the music player.
The Schaumburg, Ill.-based company said the W7 uses a built-in accelerometer to feel the body's movement, orientation and hand gestures.

It responses to a flip of the phone and silences incoming calls, snoozes the alarm clock and pauses the music. A flick of the wrist to the left or right can move between music tracks and photos.

Shaking the device twice can launch pre-set application.

The W7 also comes pre-loaded with motion-controlled games.

An integrated pedometer allows users to create a personal profile to set goals, complete workouts and review summary reports.

Additional features include a 2.0-megapixel camera, MP3 player, FM Radio and up to 8GB optional external memory.

Motorola has been struggling, reporting widening losses of a hefty 45 percent from a year ago.

The company enjoyed success with its popular RAZR handset launched in 2005 but has lost considerable ground to Apple and BlackBerry maker Research in Motion as major handset makers more towards smartphones.

New LG Chocolate BL40 Wide Display

LG Electronics today unveiled the new Chocolate BL40, a widescreen handset with "split screen" technology that can show two views simultaneously. LG Electronics, the world's third-largest phone maker, said the new Chocolate features a 4.0-inch widescreen high-definition LCD with an 800 by 345 pixel resolution.

It is overlaid with curved tempered glass and encased in a glossy black finish with red highlights.

The wider screen has a 21:9 aspect ratio so users can read Web pages without scrolling horizontally and comes with "Dual Screen UI" so users can display two different types of content simultaneously.

"The initial response to the new LG Chocolate phone has exceeded our expectations by a wide margin," said Skott Ahn, LG Mobile's Chief Executive. "Although much interest seems focused on the striking shape of the handset, the real surprise will be when people discover the advantages of the 4.0-inch screen in terms of viewing pleasure and ease of use."

After LG debuted the original Chocolate debuted in 2006, it went on to sell 21 million units worldwide -- becoming the top selling phone in the company's history.

The new LG Chocolate BL40 will be available in 54 countries in the third quarter

T- Mobile is going to Launch HTC Touch Pro2 on August 12

T-Mobile, the nation's fourth-largest carrier, said the HTC Touch Pro2 -- a touch screen smartphone with conference speakerphone technology -- will be available beginning August 12. The Bellevue, Wash.-based company said flipping the Touch Pro2 over turns it into a sophisticated speakerphone -- similar to those found in corporate boardrooms.

The handset uses "Straight Talk" technology to deliver high-fidelity sound enhanced by asymmetric speakers and advanced noise suppression with full-duplex acoustics.

Running on Windows Mobile 6.1, users can view, edit and update Microsoft documents, access calendars and manage to-do lists.

The Touch Pro2 also has a 3.6-inch touch screen, sliding QWERTY keyboard, 3.2-megapixel camera with auto-focus, Bluetooth wireless technology, Wi-Fi for fast Internet and built-in GPS and location-based services.

"The HTC Touch Pro2 offers the most powerful productivity experience available on a mobile phone, while also delivering unparalleled elegance in both its exterior and user interface design," said Jason Mackenzie, HTC's vice president. "HTC and T-Mobile have a history of introducing groundbreaking products, and this collaboration continues with the debut of this highly anticipated device to the U.S. market."

The HTC Touch Pro2 will be available on August 12 in retail stores and online.

Palm Pre reconnects with iTunes

Palm is delivering an update to the Pre smartphone, allowing it to once again connect to iTunes a week after it was shut out -- escalating its battle with rival Apple. The Pre, released in June, was seen by many as the chief competitor to the hugely popular iPhone. It was also the first non-Apple handset to connect directly to iTunes.

But a month later, Apple closed the loophole saying that the Pre had falsely pretended to be iPods.

Palm's new fix, an update to the Pre's WebOS software, is similar to its old workaround.

When the Pre connects to a computer through a USB cable, it sends out Apple's vendor ID code. Recognizing the Pre as an Apple product, iTunes then allows users to transfer music, photos and videos.

Palm claims Apple should not be allowed to set iTunes to respond only to devices with Apple's USB codes. But the USB Implementers Forum, an industry standards group, states that the vendor ID used by a product must match the ID code of the company producing the product.

Regardless of the rules, Apple does not seem likely to let Palm's the new solution stand.

"As we've said before, newer versions of Apple's iTunes software may no longer provide syncing functionality with unsupported digital media players," said Tom Neumayr, an Apple spokesman.

The iTunes battle is part of a larger rivalry between the two companies. Palm's Chief Executive, Jon Rubinstein, was once was an executive at Apple -- overseeing the development of the iPod.

AT&T Cuts Price of Apple iPhone 3G to 49 $

AT&T said it has cut the price of the refurbished iPhone 3G -- specifically the black 8GB model -- to $49 while supplies last. The Dallas, Texas-based carrier said it also cut the price of a refurbished 16GB iPhone 3G to $99. Both 8GB and 16GB discounted models still requires a two year AT&T service plan. The refurbished iPhones have been previously owned -- returned within the 30-day trial period -- and are either unused or lightly used.

Each phone is tested and loaded with the latest software to meet current factory standards and carries a warranty of 90 days or more.

AT&T initially cut the price of refurbished iPhones to $99 last December.

The second-generation iPhone 3G was release in June 2008, and featured built-in GPS for tracking applications, improved audio, a flush headphone jack, an integrated camera, Wi-Fi connectivity and 3G Internet -- twice as fast as the original iPhone.

The refurbished iPhone 3G is available for $49 with a two-year AT&T contract while supplies last.

Nokia, the world's top mobile phone maker, plans to launch the 6760 Slide -- a messaging slider focused on social networking -- in Europe. The Finnish company said the 6760 Slide is similar to the Surge -- its North America sibling -- offering a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Designed for typing, users can keep their status and tweets up-to-date on social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter. The handset can also access to popular email and instant messaging services including Google Talk and Windows Live. Push email is available through Nokia Messaging.

T-Mobile UK lost 87,000 customers during the second quarter, as Deutsch Telekom reported a 7.4% increase in profits.

While other Deutsch Telekom countries added customers T-MobileUK reported a loss of 87,000 customers in the quarter ended June 2009, to 16.6 million customers.T-Mobile UK, customer revenue fell 1.9 % in the second quarter and 4.2% in the first half of the year.

Vodafone also made a net loss of customers in Q2 this year – a total of 159,000 in the same quarter. Meanwhile, Orange added 3,000, and O2 gained a massive 252,268.

Overall, Deutsche Telekom reported that profits before reductions rose 8.4% to €5.3bn (£4.5bn), and sales increased 7.4% to €16.2bn (£13.8bn) during Q2. The company said this was partially a result of its recent acquisition of a stake in the Greek telecoms company OTE.

New dual- SIM Samsung on the horizon- C3212

The C3212 DuoS is a new dual-SIM device from Samsung, which is one of the few major manufacturers bringing dual standby phones on the market. The C3212 DuoS has a basic feature set but will cost only 135 euro.
The new Samsung C3212 DuoS has a standard bar form factor and targets the low-end budget class. It is expected to feature only basic functions, but at this point there is no further information available.
Previous dual-SIM devices from Samsung are the C5212, which costs only 15 euro more than the C3212 DuoS suggested price tag, and the slider B5702 featuring bigger screen and better camera. Let's don't forget the luxury S9402 Ego, which impresses both with its unique looks and high price. If you're into touchscreens, you can also go for Samsung D980.
If you haven't seen any of these in your local store, we'd guess that's only because you don't live in Eastern Europe and especially Russia, where all these 3G-less phones are all headed to.
The Samsung C3212 DuoS will probably be the cheapest of them all with its expected price of 135 euro. It's expected later this summer on the Russian market.

TomTom SatNav application is getting closer, iGO released theirs today

The race is tight for the developers of GPS SatNav apps for Apple iPhone 3G and 3GS as iGO released their solution today, while TomTom confirmed their app and dash stand are still due this summer.

There is now even a trader has the TomTom app and the supplemented car stand listed for pre-order at a price of about 200 US dollars (~140 euro), which could mean that the release date is even closer.

The TomTom announcement is probably dictated by the fact that today iGO officially released their dedicated iPhone GPS software at a price of 90 EUR (130 US dollars) for the European version, 70 EUR (100 US dollars) for the Western European version and 80 EUR (115 US dollars) for the North American Edition.

Since Sygic already have their SatNav software up at the AppStore for some time, we guess it's only Garmin that are keeping back from developing for the iPhone platform.

Report: RIM and Apple taking the lead in smartphone sales (Q2)

FierceWireless reports that Research firm IDC has released its list of top-selling smartphones in the U.S. during the second quarter. Research In Motion and Apple topped the list, accounting for the top six highest selling U.S. smartphone devices.

RIM's BlackBerry Curve, available in a variety of models and for all of the major U.S. networks, made the number one spot. The iPhone 3GS placed second even though it is only available in two models and with one carrier.

While Apple owned fourth place with its iPhone 3G model, RIM filled out the other top six spots with its Pearl, Bold, and Storm models. T-Mobile's G1, the HTC Touch Pro, and the HTC Touch Diamond placed at the bottom of the top ten list. Perhaps surprisingly, the highly anticipated Palm Pre fell behind top smartphone competitors in eighth place, according to IDC.

Future Android Versions are going to focus on social networking?!

Reuters reports that Android will hone in on business customers along with social networking and gaming fans in future versions of the smartphone operating system.

Google Vice President of Engineering Andy Rubin said he expects future versions of the OS to focus on enterprise features that would sync with Google apps like GMail, Google Docs, and Google Calendar. On the social networking front, Rubin called Palm's Synergy contact management system, which

pulls data from social networking sites like Facebook, "a step in the right direction." He explained that similar features would be available on Android in the future.

Android 1.6, codenamed Donut, and Android 2.0, codenamed Eclair will be available this year. A third version, codenamed Flan, is currently being developed. The new versions could take advantage of the Qualcomm Snapdragon processor for 3D gaming features.

Fifteen to twenty Android-powered smartphones will be available before the end of the year, according to Rubin.
